In this generative workshop, your heartbreaks and humor will help open your reader’s heart. We’ll use prompts, examples from literature, rewriting, and laughter. No experience necessary. The workshop is geared toward fiction writers, creative non-fiction writers, and memoirists, anyone writing stores they have to tell.

Each session will offer a new strategy to approach elements, like settings you don’t recognize anymore, developing characters endearing and flawed, point-of-views that unsettle the reader, etc. After writing in class, you’ll have the opportunity to read and receive feedback in a rigorously supportive environment using the Gateless Method.
