Columbia Center for the Arts (CCA), located in the heart of the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area, is hosting a literary event called Writing Up the Gorge. Writers spend five days at five different Write Up locations throughout the area. Writing Up the Gorge culminates in displaying writers’ work as a Gallery exhibition throughout September, an anthology publication on the CCA website, and a public reading in the CCA Theatre.

Locations for the Write Up include: Husum Riverside Bed and Breakfast & Icehouse Cafe, Analemma Wines in Mosier, The Hutson Museum in Parkdale, Waterfront Park at Cascade Locks, and WAAAM (Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum) in Hood River. Admission fees for participants have been generously donated by both museums.
